One of the new initiatives at Blue Whale Labs in 2007 is our Killer Whales program. We are opening the doors to work with entrepreneurs to help make their dreams a reality. We intend to select one or two people or groups to work closely with each quarter, and our support may involve strategy, design, development, marketing, and funding assistance. In some cases, we may even provide office space.
I hate the “Incubator” term, since people aren’t eggs. This is more of an outgrowth of the advisory capital concept that I unleashed on the world in 2006. One thing I discovered is that to be really effective in helping young, small companies strategically it may be necessary to get tightly integrated into their operations: a day visit once a month may not be enough, especially when the company is zigging and zagging.
I mentioned this today in a post at /Message, and I am sort of jumping the gun on announcing the program. [I am sure that my partners are going to kick me for this.]
If you are interested in applying for the program, please contact me through our contact form, here. Please use “Killer Whales” in the “How did you hear of us” field. In the next few weeks we will make other announcements about Killer Whales, and create an application form. You can wait till then, if you’d rather.
